Christmas is well on its way and with it the parties, rushed shopping trips and cosy nights in. In the festive season it’s easy for your body to get dehydrated, so treat yourself to some recovery time with these festive infused waters.
Apple and Cinnamon Water Warmer
- 500ml Water
- 1-2 Apples (Chopped)
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
Hot
Add all the ingredients into a pan and bring to the boil, turn the pan off and let sit for 10 minutes. Strain the liquid through a sieve and serve in your favorite mug. Enjoy!
Cold
Add all the ingredients into a jug and place in the fridge for a few hours (ideally overnight).
Christmas Sangria
I absolutely love all the fruits in this one, they look great in the jug and the sparkling water adds a special fizz to feel good water.
- 1 Blood Orange
- 1 Pear
- 1 Apple
- 1 Lemon
- 1 Orange
- 100g Cranberries
- 100g Pomegranate Seeds
- Hanful of Mint Leaves
- 2ltrs of Sparkling Water
Place all the ingredients in a large jug and let chill in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
Tummy Tamer Tea
Another dual purpose water, this can be served warm or cold and is perfect for helping calm tummies that are struggling to keep up with the festive goodies!
- 1ltr of Boiling Water
- 4 of your favourite teabags (we love Rooibos for this recipe)
- 1 Lemon sliced
- Handful of mint leaves
- 2tsp of sweetener (honey, agave syrup, sugar or stevia all work fine)
- 1tsp Fresh ginger peeled and finely chopped (frozen ginger also works well)
Place all of the ingredients in a heatproof jug with the boiling water on top. Allow to infuse until lukewarm and remove the tea bags. To serve warm the tea can either be re-heated in a saucepan or place the jug in the fridge and serve cold.
